Going with the flow - restoring a living Yangzte

The Yangtze echoes to the traditional songs of the Tujia boatpeople as they steer their dugout canoes through the smallest of the rivers three gorges. It is a rare moment of peace along one of the world's busiest waterways, flowing 6,300km from its source on top of the Tibetan plateau down to the Pacific Ocean. As Asia's longest river, the Yangtze has become a symbol of China's rapid development drive.
