Officer for Partnership Management (Shanghai)

Position:  Officer for Partnership Management (Shanghai)
Report to: Director of Partnership and Development Department,  WWF China
Location: Shanghai

Major Function:

The overall purpose of this position is to smooth communication among partnership management team in China for the purpose of engaging partners in sustainability and transformation,and increasing WWF China’s revenue for conservation. S/he will also work withIT partners to develop, maintain the partnership management database and be responsible for data up date and accuracy.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • 1. Conduct data analysis and assistant partnership and development director to develop work plans to engage partnerships in regions of China for different programme portfolios.
  • 2. Build WWF’s reputation on partnership engagement among the business community, including but not limited to organize partnership engagement events or seminars.
  • 3. Develop digital toolbox and analysis for cooperation and fundraising proposals in coordination with WWF internal and international.
  • 4. Manage and strengthen the relationships with existing and newly developed partners. 
  • 5. Assistant other members in partnership management team on partner engagement/fundraising events
  • 6. Develop and maintain an updated corporate database.  Support the preparation of annual corporate partnership report, coordinate with regional development mangers to generate weekly development progress report.
  • 7. Develop relationships with business media and agencies for CSR and marketing cooperation.
  • 8. Keep corporate marketing material updated, create new development tools and materials when necessary and prepare a regular corporate newsletter.
  • 9. Develop fundraising proposals to corporate partners in coordination with programmeteams.Develop new marketing products and tools to maximize revenue.

  • 12. Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Working relations: 

    Internal: Members of Partnership and Development Department;Conservation programmes; related hub managers; B&I and Marketing Departmentsof WWF International and related WWF network offices.

    External: multinational and Chinese companies; business media;agencies and associates.

    Qualifications Required

  • 1. A relevant degree such as marketing, computer science, or internet business is preferred.
  • 2. At least 2-3 years working experience on database or business analysis preferred.
  • 3. Experience in working or collaborating with international NGO’s as a plus.
  • 4. Ability to get an overview of all aspects of a relationship, and proactively apply effective problem solving and relationship-building skills.
  • 5. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and ability to influence others.
  • 6. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  Result driven.  
  • 7. Fluent written and oral communication skills both in Mandarin andEnglish.
  • 8. An interest in and commitment to environmental and conservation issues.
