Position: Assistant Officer for Inter-coordination of Development Team (Beijing)

Report to: Director of Partnership and Development Director, Partnership and Development Department, WWF China

Location: Beijing

Major Function:

The overall purpose of this position is to smooth communication among regional development team in China for the purpose of engaging businesses in sustainability and transformation,and increasing WWF China’s revenue for conservation. S/he will also manage general inquiry from both existing and potential partners, and be responsible for enhancing WWF’s image among the business community.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 1.    Conduct analysis and assistant Development managers to develop work plans to engage partnerships in regions of China for different programme portfolios.
  • 2.    Build WWF’sreputation on partnership engagement among the business community, including but not limited to assisting or organizingpartnership engagement events or seminars.
  • 3.    Manage and strengthen the relationships with existing and newly developed corporate partners.  Handle corporate account management and donor retention.
  • 4.    Ensure the delivery of agreed sponsorship benefits to each donor, including plan and organise field visits and some staff engagement activities in cooperation with programme teams.
  • 5.    Provide project progress reports to corporate sponsors, in coordination with programme teams.
  • 6.    Handle ad-hoc enquiries and allocate donation leads to development team based on region and specific criteria. 
  • 7.    Other tasks assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to Major Donor relations.
  • Working relations:

    Internal: Members of Partnership and Development Department;Conservation programmes; related hub managers; B&I and Marketing Departmentsof WWF International and related WWF network offices.

    External: Multinational and Chinese companies; business media;agencies and associates.

    Qualifications Required 

  • 1.    A relevant degree such as marketing, communications, or international business is preferred.
  • 2.     At least 2-3 years working experience in Corporate SocialResponsibility or business development is preferred.
  • 3.    Experiencein workingor collaborating with international NGOsas a plus.
  • 4.    Ability to get an overview of all aspects of a relationship, and proactively apply effective problem solving and relationship-building skills.
  • 5.    Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and ability to influence others.
  • 6.    Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  Result driven.  
  • 7.     Fluent written and oral communication skills both in Mandarin andEnglish.
  • 8.     An interest in and commitment to environmental and conservation issues.
