Job Description


Position:  Merchandizing Manager (商品开发经理)

Department: Public Engagement Division

Report to: Director of Public Engagement Division

Location: Beijing/Shenzhen/Shanghai



The Manager of Merchandizing will be responsible for WWF China’s derivative and peripheral product developing and marketing, as well as take charge of producing and operation related issues. Working together with other departments of PED, PDD and programmes, he or she will also contribute to the individual fundraising and member related activities.


Main Responsibilities:

Work with line manager to develop WWF China’s merchandizing strategic plan in line with organizational strategy

Lead the implementation of the strategy and work plan of merchandizing

Lead to initiate and implement, by coordinating with related department, marketing plan for merchandizing.

Develop domestic and international sales channels for merchandizing

Be responsible for the overall merchandizing income

Work together with internal departments and clients for product development

Timely prepare and deliver documentations and reports related to merchandizing management.

Maintain good communications and interactions with suppliers, channel resources, and related PR agencies with professional behaviour.

Other tasks allocated by line manager.


Working Relationship:

Regular interactions with suppliers, channels and related agencies, etc.


College degree or above, in sales, business, communications or related field.

Minimum of 8 years’ work experience in related field relevant to this position.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.

Good competence in product development, sales, marketing and communication.

Knowledge and experiences in charity is a plus.

Good understanding of WWF China and environmental conservation sectors, and the working experience with WWF is preferred.

Excellent ability to work cross-culturally.

Excellent inter-personal skills, and team work skills including ability to internal communication, open mind strategic think, self-motivated and innovative and meet deadlines.
