Position: Manager, Communication 
Location: Beijing
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Communication  
Main Function
The Manager of Programme Communication is responsible for coordinating and managing all WWF Programmes’ communication activity to achieve program communication objectives under the overall PED strategy. It includes planning and realizing coherent communication plans together with all practice and other department of PED. He or she will lead and mandate the program communicators to effect the connection between program and PED, as well as facilitate the interaction.  
Main responsibilities: 
1. Lead program communicators to work together with practice heads to develop short-term/mid-term/long-term program communication strategy for facilitating to fulfill the conservation goals through public engagement.
2. Mandate and coordinate program communicators to follow up the program development and progress all year round, to collect and analysis relevant information, and design into a unified communication plan
3. Mandate program communicators to run the tradeoff of information with the practice heads and managers, on a daily basis, to ensure the timely information transmission.
4. Lead to develop the efficient and measurable work plans and the right tactics that ensure consistent and effective implementation of the strategies, and ensuring that all activities stick to the budget.
5. Develop the measurable and effective monitor and evaluation system for the work plans. And managing the overall implementation process of the program communication plans, driving best practices and ensuring quality deliveries. 
6. Support head of Comms team to building a competent and efficient program communication team with efficient delivery.  Fostering teamwork spirit while motivating team members to take initiatives. 
7. Maintaining smooth communication channels with related teams and individuals of WWF Network, and responsible for aligning WWF China’s communications strategies and activities with the Network.
8. Developing and maintaining constructive working relationship with partners, donors, other NGOs, related agencies, etc.
Working relationships
Internal
1. Report to Sr. manager of Communication 
2. Dotted line reports to Chief Program Officer 
3. Closely work together with Environmental Education Team and Individual Fundraising Team
4. Closely work together with practice heads 
5. Keep smoothly and effective working relationship with WWF Network offices


External
1. Government, related organizations and institutions;
2. Donors;
3. Other NGOs;
4. PR Agencies;

6. Public


Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in responsible positions relevant to this post;
University degree in communications, journalism, public relations, conservation or related fields;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English;
Experience in an environmental conservation organization or international NGO with management role is an advantage;
Knowledge of environmental issues and environmental conservation is preferred;
Good organizational skills and proven abilities in team management;
Excellent inter-personal skills, including ability to transfer skills, supervise and network
Self-motivated and innovative; able to work under pressure with a team of people and meet deadlines;
Good current understanding of WWF’s work in China and globally as a plus;
Excellent ability to work cross-culturally.
