Title:  Senior Program Manager, Water 高级项目经理,水资源
Location:  Beijing/Shanghai/Wuhan/Changsha/Changsha
Reports to: Practice Head, Water


Functions:  

1. Overall management and taking responsibility for all activities, projects and staff within the policy division. 
2. Responsible for successful implementation and development of programme, projects associated with WWF Water Practice strategy and goals.
3. Work with water practice leaders (Leader, Directors and Chief Advisor) to maintain high level government relationship,such as relationship with MEP, MWR, MOA, SFA etc.) to enlarger WWF’s water practice policy impact. 
4. Liaises and account manage to strengthen relations with other NGOs (WRI, SIWI, IPE etc), and industry associations (such as CNTAC, BIA, DIA etc).
5. Assists and coordinates with relevant project sites of WWF China to develop the work plan and budget of the programme, monitor and evaluate to ensure the delivery of committed conservation results and impact.
6. Liaises the internal collaboration across the projects as relevant to the achievement of the programme conservation strategic goals and action plans. 
7. Strengthens the project communications within or out of WWF China.


Main Responsibilities:


1. 1. Maintain and develop partnership network with local governmental departments, local communities, consultants, academic institutions, companies, other NGOs, and other international organizations. 
2. Lead the collection, analysis, coordination, production and dissemination of communication documentations for the Programme to promote and profile the programme within or out of WWF, including:
Monthly Programme policy work updates  
Programme profiles, Q&As, issue papers, achievement highlights and briefs
Programme information for WWF connect, and other documents as appropriate
3. Leadership with an ability to think strategically, creatively and laterally.
4. Adequate interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team with other staff in achieving common goals and ability to work hard and meet deadlines.
5. Have a responsible for the project they belong.
6. Prepare and monitor the annual budget of field project in collaboration with programme staffs.
7. Keeps abreast of trends and developments in own area
8. Perform other tasks as requested by line managers and department directors.
9. Coordinate and support division head to fulfil people management and coach focus on talent development and competency development of staffs.
10. Coordinate and support division head to make AIM review and communication one by one with team members.


Working Relationship:
1. Internal: Primary supervisor is division Head. Regular contact with Water Practice team members. Occasional contact with other practice team members. PED,PDD department and Operation teams.
2. External: Regular interaction with institutions, medias, enterprises, local government agencies, local communities,other NGOs.  


Qualification:
1. University level and above in related area, master’s degree preferred.
2. At least 10 years experiences in related area, 3-5 years in managerial role is preferred.
3. Good relationship with government agencies and working ability.
4. Good communication skills, communicate effectively and efficiently.
5. Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality with good communication skills.
6. Excellent English and Chinese in writing, speaking and reading.
7. Willingness to update professional knowledge and skills. 
8. Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic skills and good team worker.
9. Strong project management skills, results orientation.
10. Experience of working in an international context and the ability to respect and work well with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
