Title:  Senior Program Officer, Water  高级项目专员,水资源
Location: Yangtze River Basin
Reports to:  Program Manager, Water


1. Taking responsibility for all sustainable agriculture related activities, projects. 

2. Responsible for successful implementation and development of programme, projects associated with WWF Stewardship agriculture programme strategy, goals and related agriculture water footprint management.

3. Assist WS manager to strengthen relations with Government, partners, other NGOs, Donors and associate committees.

4. Assist and coordinate with relevant project sites of WWF China to develop the work plan and budget plan of the programme, monitor and evaluate the whole process to ensure the delivery of committed conservation results and impact.

5. Liaises the internal collaboration across the projects as relevant to the achievement of the programme conservation strategic goals and action plans. 

6. Strengthens the project communications within or out of WWF China.

7. Work with related team to do fundraising for WS agriculture projects in China

Main Responsibilities:

1. Assist Stewardship manager to maintain and develop partnership network with local governmental departments, local communities, consultants, academic institutions, companies, other NGOs, and other international organizations. 

2. Lead the collection, analysis, coordination, production and dissemination of communication documentations for the Programme to promote and profile the programme within or out of WWF, including:
•Monthly Programme news updates  
•Programme profiles, Q&A, issue papers, achievement highlights and briefs
•Programme information for WWF connect
•other documents as appropriate
3. Adequate interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team with other staffs in achieving common goals and ability to work hard and meet deadlines.

4. Have a responsible for the project they belong.

5. Assist the WS manager to prepare and monitor the annual budget of field project in collaboration with programme staffs.

6. Keeps abreast of trends and developments in own area

7. Perform other tasks as requested by line manager and department directors.

Working Relationship:

1. Internal: Primary supervisor is WS manager. Regular contact with team members. Occasional contact with other members WWF Water Practice team. 

2. External: Regular interaction with the related agriculture associations, local communities, local government agencies and staff of Nature Reserves and wetland parks.  

1. University degree in related area is preferred.
2. At least 8 years experiences in related area
3. Good relationship with local communities and working ability.
4. Good communication skills, communicate effectively and efficiently.
5. Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality with good communication skills.
6. Good English and Chinese in writing,  speaking and reading.
7. Willingness to update professional knowledge and skills. 
8. Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic skills and good team worker.
9. Strong project management skills, results orientation.
