Senior Officer for Climate Savers Programme

Position Functions:

Be primary contact with business partners for the WWF China Climate Savers programme with support of Climate Business Engagement unit and Corporate Relations unit at WWF International, marketing department and communication department in WWF China. Ensure the introduction and implementation of Climate Savers in China according to the programme standards defined by WWF International and adapted to Chinese situation. Develop Climate Savers partnerships with Chinese companies. Liaise regularly with Climate Business Engagement unit at WWF International and business and marketing unit in WWF China. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Further the development of strategy and workplan to establish the Climate Savers programme in China
  • Implement the agreed activities in the WWF China Climate Savers activity plan
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotion activities for Climate Savers in China in collaboration with dedicated WWF Communications staff, including present Climate Savers in appropriate media events and public events
  • Engage and develop partnerships with target companies as defined by the WWF China Climate Savers recruitment strategy and workplan, with a view to recruiting new partners
  • Lead and monitor the development and implementation of Climate Savers Partnerships to the mutual satisfaction of both WWF and business partner
  • Ensure implementation of partnership development procedures as defined by Climate Business Engagement unit
  • Provide regular updates to both WWF Network and to WWF China so as to ensure any emerging internal issues are raised with the appropriate WWF entities
  • Provide progress reports as required by WWF International standards and donor standards and prepare proposals when required
  • Qualifications:
  • At least six years experience in the field of corporate relations, NGO-private sector partnerships or in industry itself.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to network alliances and to create a cooperative environment, with capacity to thrive on, and learn from diverse opinions
  • Ability to work independently.
