AP (Accounts Payable) Accountant(Beijing)
Major Functions:

Responsible for the full spectrum of Accounts Payable (AP) function including process invoices, transaction posting, supplier set up, payment runs, banks reconciliation, allocating payments, analysis of accounts payable aging, month-end AP reconciliation. In addition to the above, candidate will also be part of the Oracle co-ordination team.

  • Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain sound financial policies and procedures for China Office in accordance with WWF International and donor requirements.
  • Ensure Oracle smooth implementation & coordination in the office for the AP module;
  • Control Accounts Payable and coordinate with project finance functions
  • Process AP data entry in Oracle system, ensuring accuracy & timely settlement of supplier invoices.
  • Responsible of monthly AP accounts closing and reconciliations
  • Ensure that all invoices and payment are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide specific AP function related analysis report to assist management decision.
  • Review and reconcile advance accounts for staff, field offices and follow up long outstanding advances.
  • Super user of Oracle AP function
  • Submission of consultant income tax
  • Payroll reconciliation, upload to Oracle system and co-ordination with HR department
  • Maintain linkages with local banks, local tax authorities.
  • Train other project staff on WWF financial procedures and policies and the use of the Oracle financial system as necessary.
  • To be a backup of the Cashier when necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Working Relationship:
  • Internal: Works closely with Supervisor, General accounting, Manager, Project Finance and his team of Project finance Officers. Some contacts with WWF Network, specifically WWF International Finance departments.
  • External: Interact with banks, third parties, auditors and tax authorities.
  • Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience with foreign companies in the capacity of accountant, AP preferred. Experience with International non-profit organization would be an asset.
  • Prior working knowledge or experience with Oracle Business Suite is a plus
  • Proactive, innovative, analytical and output-oriented personality with the ability to work hard and meet deadlines;
  • Good communication skills and the ability to learn in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Strong ability in written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Good computer literacy especially in Excel spreadsheet;
