Programme Officer -- Dongting Lake Wetland Programme (Changsha)

Function:

Responsible for successful implementation and development of programme, projects associated with WWF Yangtze Programme in Dongting Lake Area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the work plan of field Projects relating to Partnership For A Living Yangtze in Dongting Lake.
  • Ensure good management and implementation field Projects relating WWF Partnership For A Living Yangtze Programme in Dongting Lake.
  • Maintain and develop partnership network with local governmental departments, local communities, consultants, academic institutions, companies, other NGOs, and other international organizations that are active in the Central Yangtze region
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget of field project in collaboration with programme staffs.
  • Coordinating project related communication activities.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by Head of Changsha Programme Office.
  • Working Relationship:
  • Internal: Primary supervisor is Head of Changsha Programme Office (based in Changsha). Regular contact with team members of Changsha Field Office (Yangtze Focal Project) and CPO Operations Department. Occasional contact with other members WWF Yangtze Programme.
  • External: Regular interaction with local communities, local government agencies and staff of Nature Reserves.
  • Qualification:
  • Master degree in related area.
  • Ten years experiences in nature reserve works, nature conservation project development, field project implementation and management experiences;
  • Good relationship with local communities and infective working ability towards local people.
  • Grand prospect in project management.
  • Good communication skills, communicate effectively and efficiently.
