Communication Officer(Xi'an) - 对外联络与宣传官员(西安)

Main Function:

Manage the communications issues in Xi an Field Office and coordinate with other staff in Beijing and donors, partners and ensure all activities in field office are well and timely communicated with the outside world and WWF network as well.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop communication and training strategy and implement communication & magnification plan relating to Qinling Project.
  • Manage the relationship with Governmental Agency on conservation and sustainable use training, and Nature Reserve management training and networking issues.
  • Manage media relationship to increase public awareness of WWF Qinling Project.
  • Conduct information in & out to increase profile of Qinling Project to target audience.
  • Ensure the delivery of yearly targets assigned by Qinling project Leader.
  • Manage information of WWF China website relating to Qinling Project.
  • Manage other information relating to Qinling Project, such as collection and filing of video, slides, photos and newspapers.
  • Support internal and external communications related to Qinling Project activities.
  • Assist the Communication Manager of WWF CPO with communication campaigns and activities when these become priorities for the WWF Qinling Project.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by WWF Qinling Project Leader.
  • Internal Working Relationships
  • Daily contact with partners and WWF CPO staff in communications.
  • Frequent contact with project staff;
  • Regular contact with Field Office Leader and other Programme communicators.
  • External Working Relationships
  • Regular contact with donors, such as WWF-NL, WWF Int’l and others;
  • Occasional contact with Government Agencies;
  • Occasional contact with other donors, NGOs, media and main partners
  • Qualification:
  • Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality with the ability to meet hard;
  • Willing to travel to field frequently
  • Willing to work under pressure.
  • Background on ecology or communication;
  • Good English in writing, speaking and reading;
