Main Function:
  • Responsible for the development of climate public campaign strategy
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the public oriented climate campaign and events in coordination with CPO relevant teams and WWF Network teams.
  • Responsible for good delivery of Climate Change and Energy Programme communication plan towards the overall WWF China communications implementation.
  • Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the communication activities and campaigns (e.g., Earth Hour, low carbon lifestyle) for Climate Change and Energy Programme with CPO teams and in collaboration with WWF Network teams, and also keep the regular communication with WWF Network.
  • Build and maintain communication network by self or through team, with media, public, and other key stakeholders on climate change related issues.
  • Deliver Climate Change and Energy Programme and campaign communications materials such as brochure and newsletter, and support the localization of communication products from network in China.
  • Prepare press release, media statements, Q&A, fact sheets about public campaigns for Climate Change and Energy Programme.
  • Manage public campaign information relating to Climate Change and Energy Programme, such as collection and filing of video, slides, photos and media coverage.
  • Perform other communications tasks as requested by Director of Communications and Director of Climate Change and Energy Programme.
  • Support the communications for business and policy project of Climate Change and Energy Programmes if needed.
  • Qualification
  • At least three years work in communication field;
  • Experience on campaign and events management necessary;
  • Experience on communication in sustainability and climate change highly preferable;
  • Share WWF China value & culture. Experience on campaign and events management necessary;
  • Proactive, innovative and result-oriented personality with good communication skills;
  • Proficient English writing, speaking and reading skills;
  • Adequate interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team with other staff in achieving common goals and ability to work hard and meet deadlines;
  • Willingness to update professional knowledge and skills;
  • An advanced university degree in communications, sustainable development, or climate change
